About 20 years ago, I was faced with a decision. My 6 year old son was now old enough to start in the public elementary school system. However, for whatever reason, he would cry and scream any time I mentioned the idea of sending him to school.
I already had another of my children in High School. He wasn’t doing well academically, and like some children in the public school system, he started getting involved with the wrong crowd.
While I tried to deal with the problem as best as I could; I couldn’t face the thought of putting my 6-year-old son into the public school system to face the same fate.
As a result of this situation, I decided on homeschooling my kids. I started with my 6-year old and soon after, my older son (14 at the time) asked to be homeschooled as well.
This was the greatest decision of my life.
It was definitely scary at first, and it wasn’t easy to learn all of the ins and outs of educating children, but I persisted.
Eventually, both of my children graduated from homeschooling with me. My 6-year old son, who was so afraid of going to school in the public school system, graduated from High School AT 13 YEARS OLD!
During the time I was homeschooling my own children, I had friends and family ask me if I would do the same for their kids. This is what sparked the beginning of my organization Bright Harbor Academy.
For close to 20 years now, I have dedicated my time and skills with children to educate them. I have quite literally saved many of them, from the threats of psychiatric drugging, violence, immoral behavior, etc., and taken them to the point of graduating, with academic success and looking forward to a bright future in life.
I find it to be my greatest pleasure to help my students and see the smile and brightness on their faces when they finally reach an understanding of what they are studying.
I hope you take this opportunity to confront the problem of our public school systems and put your child on the right path for a bright academic future.
